CRISIS or CHANGE exhibition

This thought-provoking art exhibition explores the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Each piece in the exhibition addresses a specific SDG. My piece focuses on gender equality, titled 'Virgin Queen', it reflects the expectations imposed on women and references Maureen Scott's 'Mother and Child at Breaking Point' (1970). Pervasive social pressures shape women's choices, often constraining their autonomy. While societal injunctions affect all genders, their impact on women is notably stronger and more limiting. By combining creativity with activism, this exhibition aims to raise awareness and foster dialogue around global challenges, underscoring the urgent need for collective action to achieve these goals by 2030.
